When the original vinyl railings on this Shawnigan Lake home began to loosen, the homeowners called Steve’s Woodworking to restore both safety and strength to their deck. The project started with a careful inspection of the subfloor, where Steve repaired soft spots and reinforced the structure to ensure a solid foundation for the next phase of work.
Once the repairs were complete, the team at VB Vinyl — a trusted Cowichan Valley company — expertly installed new waterproof deck vinyl. With a clean, sealed surface in place, Steve followed up by fabricating and installing custom pressure-treated Sienna railings designed for long-term durability.
The new railings are sturdy, secure, and built to withstand the West Coast climate, providing essential safety for family and guests. Every post is properly anchored, every joint aligned, and every board finished with care — the kind of precision that only a professional carpenter brings to the job.
